Spirit of Abstraction

The series is guided by an attunement to subtle forces that move both within the self and beyond it, shaping the work through intuition, sensation, and a felt sense of connection.

Spirit of Abstraction (2021–2023) grew from an immersion in Sacred Geometry and Hindu yantras—visual systems that map the origins of creation, unity, and the unfolding of matter. During this period, I sought to create images that felt powerful and alive, emitting energy through colour, form, and a suspended sense of time. Working with geometry places me in a state slightly above the everyday plane; symmetry sharpens perception, and the act of painting becomes a form of illumination.

These works were shaped through research, intuition, and relationships of forms to colour. Symbols paired with colour act as portals, revealing hidden aspects of nature’s reality. Representational abstraction becomes a way of entering into dialogue with the unknown—a space where the visible and invisible meet, where thought, sensation, and spirit converge.
