My Honours project, Ritual Body, used clay to deepen my connection to paint. The embodied, repetitive actions of working with clay made spiritual practices tangible through material processes, allowing them to take on physical form.

Ritual 2.0, shown at Madeline Gordon Gallery in 2026, was an installation built around a geometric painting. The work reflects how engagement with ritual materials — notably turmeric — has begun to change my treatment of canvas and my approach to applying paint.

This remains an open area of inquiry. I intend to continue evolving the investigation through further installation work, exploring how material, body, and ritual intersect.
